Insert a line break in GABC?

How can one insert a line break in a chant notated in GABC? I've tried the following, with no success:

* <v>\newline</v>
* <v>\linebreak</v>
* <v>\par</v>

I've tried those both with and without "v" tags around them. I've also tried them with and without curly brackets.

Every time I work with GABC, I end up trying to find the answer to this question and can't. Fortunately, I just found it here: http://gregorio-project.github.io/gabc/details.html#endofline

TLDR: use z or Z, depending on what you want to do
