The Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland CA has a vacancy for a cantor for the weekly Sunday Spanish Mass, and occasionally extra liturgies in Spanish.

Requirements are:
• Classically trained singer (or instrumentalist who also sings) with a knowledge of Gregorian chant and Roman Catholic liturgy.
• Spanish speaker, or at least an understanding of Spanish and able to sing in Spanish.
• Flexibility and able to work as part of a team in the music department and the Cathedral Community.

Duties will include:
• Support the assembly through sung prayer in the celebration of the Eucharist.
• Additional employment opportunities such as funerals and weddings, and occasional English Masses are possible as well.
