Evangelia Cantata: the gospels notated for singing
Is there a Gloria or a Credo for St. Luke's Feast Day that is on a Friday?
  • Hello!

I'm just needing clarification. There is no Credo, but there is a Gloria. Is that correct?

    Thank you for your help!

Assuming that you are in an Ordinary Form context, yes, that is correct.

But what if your church, Diocese, city etc. is dedicated to St. Luke?

N.B. In the EF St Luke will have a Gloria and Credo.

@tomjaw Ah, that would change things. Would need to check the table of liturgical precedence.

  • If St. Luke is your parish, diocese or city patron, this feast becomes a First Class feast. Treat acccordingly.
