As much as this is an occasion for rejoicing in our diocese, do also pray for Fr. Ward as he was appointed to a newly-formed Office of Sacred Worship for the diocese. This is a tremendous need that we have, both at the Cathedral and at parishes. We should all pray that our next bishop here in Birmingham is as friendly to competent, well-executed, and prayerful liturgy which helps people encounter our Blessed Lord!
