For the Mass VIII Kyrie, there seems to be a difference in where the first asterisk (place where choir comes in where before it's just cantors) is placed, in the preconciliar books and the postconciliar.
In the older books the asterisk is placed. In the old books, like the Liber Usualis, it's placed after the second dotted punctum. Fa, La, Te, Do, Do... Re, Do, Te, Do... ASTERISK, and so forth.
But in the newer books, like the Gregorian Missal, Liber Cantualis, it's placed after the first word "Kyrie" is complete.
