BIBLE/GOSPEL ENTHRONEMENT
  • In the Philippines, the month of January is observed as Bible Month and one of the popular events during this month is the Bible Enthronement or Enthronement of the Book of Gospels. Do you know a chant or hymn (in Latin or English) that is suitable for the celebration or in honor of the Word of God? Does anyone here know of a resource for this? Thanks and God bless!
  • From Psalm One hundred nineteen -

XIV - Lucerna pedibus meis -
Thy word is a lantern unto my feet, * and a light unto my paths.
O have sworn, and am steadfastly purposed, * to keep thy righteous judgments.
I am troubled above measure: * quicken me, O Lord, according to thy word.
Let the free-will offerings of my mouth please thee, O Lord;* according to thy word.
My soul is alway in my hand;* yet do I not forget thy law.
    Et cetera...

    XVII - Mirabilia -
Thy testimonies are wonderful;* therefore doth my soul keep them.
When thy word goeth forth, * it giveth light and understanding unto the simple.
I opened my mouth, and drew in my breath; * for my delight was in thy commandments.
    Et cetera....
