    Right now I think there are six openings listed on this forum
    that seems like a lot more than usual; is it seasonal, and I am just now noticing? Tied to school years, maybe? Other reasons?
    Just curious.

    Seasonal. Lots of jobs come open at the end of the school year in June, and they're trying to fill them before school starts again in late August/early September.

    Also, people who started new jobs on 1 July (end of fiscal year) put in their notices not long ago.

    Many parishes scale back their music programs in the summer, with choirs active only from September to Corpus Christi. I'm sure a lot of directors and pastors would want job changes to take place in the summer.

    I have also noticed a bit of a spike in openings around January 1 (after Christmas).
