St. Ambrose Parish in North Branford, CT, is a Roman Catholic Parish in the Archdiocese of Hartford seeking to fill a part-time position of Choral Conductor and Vocalist. This position will require an experienced individual who is qualified to instruct and to lead our dedicated chorus in sacred song.

Qualified candidates must be a Roman Catholic in good standing with considerable knowledge and familiarity of the Roman Catholic liturgy. Must be available for all weekend Masses and for two weekday evening choir rehearsals.

A degree in choral Conducting (MA in Music, is preferred).

Considerable experience in the art of directing and singing Gregorian Chant, traditional hymns, and motets, either in Latin or English translations/adaptation, is required.

This position will require a positive attitude toward the training of a volunteer chorus, along with the knowledge and willingness to build and maintain a thriving music ministry at our Parish and will work as a team with fellow musicians and to work in cooperation with the Music Director/Organist.
