Organist/Music Director (PT) - Sterling Hts MI

St. Jane Frances de Chantal parish in Sterling Heights MI is seeking a paid part-time organist/director of music ministries to oversee and lead liturgical celebrations for weekend Masses plus holy days, weddings and funerals. Qualifications for this position include love of the Catholic liturgy, knowledge and proficient playing of a pipe organ, be a good vocalist and be able and willing to sing the Ordinary in Latin, be a proponent of through-composed Glorias, emphasis on traditional hymns without full exclusion of occasional contemporary hymns, and have basic knowlege of leading a choir.
