    Hello,
I'm looking into buying a new desktop computer to create worship aids with InDesign and Microsoft Publisher.
I currently have a Lenovo Thinkpad X200 with Windows 7, 148GB hard drive, and 5GB RAM and would like to upgrade the RAM to 8GB and the hard drive to at least 1TB hard drive or SSD in addition to buying a new desktop. I would like a desktop with 16GB RAM, 1 - 2TB hard drive 10,000 rpm, with an additional SSD drive to boot the software and an i7 processor. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I also plan to render videos with the desktop using Camtasia.

I use a Mac to do eveything you outline.

Unfortunately, Adobe charges WAY too much money for their software (monthly subscription). You could do worship aids in Pages, but it might be a learning curve. Affinity Designer is an up and coming option.
  • I'm glad I no longer have these sorts of responsibilities…. Sounds grueling and much too deep in the deep end for my taste.

I agree with Chris... I don't miss doing those. Get a hymnal and a hymn board.
