Exaltation of the Holy Cross at II Vespers, E.F.

For Forty Hours this year, we are thinking of returning to the Old Way, and instead of having two Masses on the First Day, one A.M. before exposition, and one P.M. after benediction, have one Mass in A.M. before exposition, then have Solemn Vespers, Coram Sanctissimum, in the E.F. at night. Incidentally, we are currently using E.F. Vespers every Sunday (having switched from O.F. in Lent) using books by Dr. Mahrt and from the Gregorian Chant Hymns website.

This year the first day of Forty Hours falls on September 14th, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. I am wondering if anyone with more booklet-making experience than I, has prepared (or is willing to prepare) a booklet for this, according to the 1961 rubrics.

    Much thanks.

There is a Vespers book for 1961 rubrics for all Sundays and major feasts (including Exaltation of the Holy Cross) excellently done by one of the members of my schola. It is available through Amazon, Lulu, and other sources, running about $20 / copy. Links: https://www.amazon.com/Vespers-Gregorian-Chant-Sundays-Holy/dp/1507878818 and http://www.lulu.com/shop/albert-bloomfield/vespers-book/paperback/product-23463517.html.

Alternatively, the individual's brother created a tool for typesetting the psalms quite rapidly. This can be used in conjunction with Gregobase to rapidly build one-off Vespers (or other parts of the office). The link to the FAQ for the tools is here: https://bbloomf.github.io/jgabc/faq.html. The link provides links to the various tools described. You can also reference Divninum Officium to get the translations / order of the Office. Hopefully this is helpful!

We have one for the Finding of the Holy Cross, which could be modified to suit the other Feast.

but it's monastic EF Divine Office.

(If anyone ever wanted to use it and substitute the Czech translations for some others, LaTeX sources and the complete toolchain are freely available.)
