I just discovered this piece: Leonard Bernstein's Missa Brevis, composed in 1989, for choir, countertenor, and percussion. Composed a year before his death, this is the last piece of choral music he composed.

Not exactly late-period Berstein, having been recycled from incidental music for Anouilh's L'alouette.
