    Six Latin Communion Motets

    For Three Voices (S.A.B.)

    Music by Jeremy de Satgé

Frequently, parish choirs contain more women than men – and more often than not tenors are especially scarce (particularly in England)! For this reason, we are delighted to publish these six carefully crafted Communion Motets purposely written for 3 voices (Soprano, Alto & Bass) using beautiful ancient texts of the 13th and 14th centuries (St. Thomas Aquinas and others). These pieces fall well within the remit of The Music Makers, which aims to publish new and original pieces of music in the polyphonic tradition and which are deliberately designed to be within the scope of the average amateur parish or mixed secondary school choir.

These prayers of devotion to the Blessed Sacrament are particularly suitable to be sung during Communion at Mass, Benediction and Eucharistic adoration.

Available from St. Paul’s Bookshop (by Westminster Cathedral) or directly from The Music Makers
