Bilingual Exultet - Short form

Hi everyone, I had to put together a bilingual Exultet for our priest this Easter, so I'm just sharing it here for whoever needs it for future reference. I applied the same principles from Richard Clark's helpful article when teaching it: https://goo.gl/m5DfLk

The Spanish is from the Misal Romano in Mexico. On the top left hand corner of each new section is the time frame that section starts on the respective Youtube clips so your priest/deacon/musician does not have to scan the whole clip for each section

    English Recording: https://goo.gl/6YLaAM

    Spanish Recording: https://goo.gl/41UvjM

Hope this is helpful to whoever needs it. I can't figure out how to upload it, but you can download the PDF here: https://goo.gl/V5M7mr

I think this is well done but I must say - wouldn’t it be easier to sing it in Latin and provide both translations in a “worship aid” ?

YES! hahaha, baby steps, I just got my church that sings the usual contemporary Catholic music to sing the Latin Ordinaries (both English and Spanish masses), and Communion Propers. Change takes time, it's going slow, but well!

@eft94530 Does this topic belongs in that category because it's bilingual? It's not for the Hispanic Ministry exclusively.

For those who are dealing with English-Spanish it sure makes items easier to locate.
I can imagine for some that "bilingual" means something else,
and is less helpful in searches.

And my situation is devolving from that level into
intolerance of Latin (all four min of psalm tone IN OF CO antiphons)
and toward using rotating guest bands as a regular "thing".

@eft94530 Ok then, I’ve made the change. Thanks for the tip.

Sorry about your situation, I’m lucky because I have a supportive Pastor. I’m happy to take my time as long as he’s open to it.

Takes time to change hearts and minds of people. Sometimes it’s best just to start from scratch with a children’s choir
