Tom Booth advocated a closer look at the potential of current popular musical styles (rap, hip-hop) for liturgical renewal, much in the way that then-popular musical styles of the 1970s were incorporated into the repertoire.
Once more into the breach, dear friends.
  • I wrote a comment about the nature of Booth's music with a link to his 'Ave Maria' and a link to a hip hop version of Ave Maria, but it's too depressing and what I said was probably uncharitable in some way, or at least mean. (I preferred the hip hop version, by the way.)

When did rap and hiphop begin?
    Are they still a thing?
