Bach organ adaptation?

    Dear friends,

    I have in my possession a book entitled Bach Made Practical for Church Organists (Lorenz Publishing, 1955). It contains the following piece called "Be Merciful to Me, O God," adapted by an E.J. Lorenz. Can any enlightened organists tell me which Bach work this is based on? Thanks in advance!

    That would be BWV 721 "Erbarm dich mein, o Herr Gott."

    I didn't think anyone else on earth had that Lorenz book. I bought it in high school around 1964. Still have it and the Handel Made Practical.
