Would someone tell me more about the Neocatechumenal Way? I woman I know well said she went to a wedding where the priest was part of the Way. She described quite the wedding where the groom sang the bride down the aisle. The priest was gregarious and engaging. I would love to know more about this?

It's a rather controversial evangelistic lay movement known for engaging in some unauthorized liturgical practices. Here's a summary from the web site of "Women of Grace":

Of course, a web search will bring up more material, including the movement's website, news stories, etc.

I think the idea of becoming more deeply aware of and thankful for salvation is wonderful.

  • Yes the idea is wonderful. It is based on the RCIA, and on taking the period of mystagogy very seriously, which too often we fail to do, and offering it also to those baptised as children. (See the USCCB site for a brief explanation of mystagogy, in the final paragraph of the first section) However, too often it seems to develop into small closed groups, particularly because it has each group normally celebrating Mass as a separate group, rather than integrating with the parish community, or even with other NCW groups in the parish. Abuses which the Vatican has attempted to tackle, with what success I know not.
And there seems to be no completion date for the mystagogy, they continue indefinitely in small groups. A few years ago a Baptist chapel in Wales closed when there was only one member coming to Sunday worship, but there were five, all over 60, who were still coming but had never moved on from the Sunday School into the church!

I'm very pleased that the full stop isn't a colon.
