St. Bernard’s Parish in Homer Glen, IL (Joliet Diocese) is seeking a part-time Director of Liturgical Music to “foster full, conscious, and active participation” through music primarily during the four weekend liturgies by selecting appropriate music; recruiting and rehearsing cantors, choir and instrumentation; providing keyboard accompaniment for all weekend liturgies and special liturgies, as well as cantoring, when needed; and other related activities as requested by the pastor. Leading the music at funerals and weddings will be additional responsibilities. St. Bernard’s Church & Pastoral Center is located just west of Orland Park at 13030 W. 143rd Street. St. Bernard’s worship space is a large multi-purpose space with flexible seating-in-the-round and fixtures arranged in antiphonal style. Send resumes to: Rev.
