    Dominus Dixit
  • I think I have to agree with Gavin: Victimae is certainly on my list and near the top.

I would add the Exsultet, In Paradisum, Hosanna Filio David, and Ubi Caritas. Oh, and the Salve Regina.
  • Jubiate Deo universa terra, Montes Gelboe, Christus Factus Est, the Improperia, Iam Non Dicam Servis sed Amicos, to name five chants.

    Requiem
  • Without doubt, the Golden Sequence should have few contenders for first place.

One might consider Alleluia, Pascha Nostrum -

And, several hymns come to mind:
    Ave Maris Stella -
    Aeterna Christi Munera -
Verbum Supernum Prodiens, Nec Patris -
  • My personal top ten at the moment, in no particular order:

    Introit: Ad te levavi*
    Introit: Dicit Dominus, cogito*
Tract: Cantemus Domino* - I chose this for my site's domain name in anticipation of the Church's musical "crossing of the Red Sea".
Improperium: Popule meus - When you sing this with understanding, just try to maintain composure.
Alleluia: Pascha nostrum - "Immolatus". Enough said.
    Communion: Amen dico vobis, quidquid*
    Antiphons: In paradisum/Chorus angelorum
    Hymn: Pange lingua gloriosi
    Hymn: Veni Creator Spiritus
    Hymn: Ubi caritas

*Committed to memory. I encourage my schola members to find propers to commit to their own memory, for whatever reason.

    The Advent Prose
    Hymn: Te Deum
    Sequence: Lauda Sion Salvatorem
    Introit: Puer natus est nobis
    Communio: Passer invenit
    Norris, in G
  • So hard to choose... and my favorites change as I learn more of them.

Introit: Laetare -- also very fond of Viri Galilaei and Puer natus est
Alleluia: In die (2nd Sunday of Easter)
Communion: Viderunt omnes and Dominus dabit, along with Passer
Improperia: Popule meus (love the tumbling torculi)
Antiphons: Ave Maris Stella (not the simplest one)
Sequence: Lauda Sion, Veni Sancte Spiritus
    Mass setting: cum jubilo
Hymns: Christus vincit (when you have a good strong group of singers... has to sound regal)
    Corde natus

Way to go, Kathy! Let's remind them that it's not all Latin:

O Virgin Pure (Αγνή Παρθένε) - St. Nektarios

    A few:

Te laudamus (a post-Benediction chant in the Cantus selecti, p 257)
The December 17 Magnificat antiphon "O Sapientia"

For something not-Latin, the (unabashedly triumphal) Melkite Annunciation chant, "We Your Servants" (Nahnou abidaki)
(If you'd like to hear it, visit a Melkite church near you on the Friday evenings of March for an Akathist service.)
