It was a pleasant surprise to find a large number of organists and choir directors attending in Cincinnati this year. This was our first year to attend.
A year ago we were invited to attend by a company, but had them spend the money on taking our books and music to display. The positive response at last year's conference and the nearness of the convention this year to our location made it possible to us to be involved.
We enjoyed meeting people, including the creators of the St. Michael Hymnal, attending a music trade show for the first time. Their booth was quite busy as people are beginning to hear and wonder about alternative hymnals.
It was a great thrill to meet others from Musica Sacra as well as to meet music directors from across the USA who are ready for the Catholic Choirbook Anthology, beginning chant books and the Catholic Organist's Quarterly and three other books on playing the Church Organ that were reviewed in the NPM magazine last year.
