Website: www.seton-parish.org. SEAS is a vibrant suburban parish of 4,500 families, located in Northern Westchester County. We are seeking an energetic, organized, collaborative musician with strong keyboard (organ and piano) and directing skills, knowledge and appreciation of diverse styles of music, and competency in supporting liturgical worship. Principle responsibilities include the planning and implementing of music for parish church, Religious Education Program and parish school liturgies. Also, the individual is expected to train and oversee a volunteer cantor program and numerous choirs: traditional, contemporary, children, and youth bell. A thorough familiarity with the Roman Rite is essential, as well as a Master’s Degree or equivalent training. Proficiency in voice, choral music, choir development, keyboard skills, orchestration and conducting is expected, as are computer and word processing skills for the creation of bulletin articles, worship aids and programs. The applicant must have a good rapport with all age groups. Weddings and funerals provide extra income. We have an Allen 2-manual electronic organ (looking to upgrade) and an upright piano. Salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience ($50-60K).
