Interim Missal Texts

Hi all, has anyone here ever used any of the interim missal texts when trying to set some propers for the OF? They wouldn't be the official texts for the Mass but they are approved versions of texts indeed. Thoughts?
  • Would the interim texts be set to constantly changing, ephemeral melodies?

set to constantly changing, ephemeral melodies

Don't say this twice to a programmer :P

But jokes laid aside: Settings of expired/surpassed translations of Mass propers can always claim at least being alius cantus aptus.
  • Igneus,

There's a reason the "expired/surpassed" translations are that.

Except the 1964 Missal is one of the only places to find official translations of Offertories, Graduals, Alleluias, and Tracts not present in the Novus Ordo; and since the are translated in a style similar to MR3, they are better suited for use today than most Anglican texts.
