The Roman Catholic Church of the Epiphany, located in the Gramercy Park/Rose Hill section of Manhattan, is seeking part-time Director of Music and Organist.
Applicant should be proficient in both piano and organ, have solid choral and vocal background and a strong knowledge of Catholic liturgy and tradition. The Director will be able to work with various ages and levels of musical abilities. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required. The main responsibilities will include: playing for four weekend liturgies (Ordinary Form), sacraments (First Communion, Confirmation) and Holy Days, directing the Adult Choir, working closely with Children’s Choir and the cantor.
The church has a three manual, 38 rank Delaware organ (1967) with electropneumatic action. Renovations are in progress.
