I am in the process of reading it now. The author does a good job on the history of music in the bible and soon after. But never refers to Ambrosian Chant as Chant but as early hymns of the church.
The forward is written by a pop music in the church artist and it's the worst part of the book IMHO.
I did learn some things I didn't know, so it was worth it to me, but I don't think I would recommend it to my choir.
