Important: Prayers Please (choir school)

    Dear Members of the CMAA and members of this forum,

    A dilemma has recently occurred. The Principal Conductor of St. Michael's Choir School, Dr. Jerzy Cichocki, is "no longer employed there".
    The main student body as well as alumni and staff are devastated at the decision to let Dr. Cichocki go from the staff.

    I would kindly ask for your prayers to restore stability, and to pray that the Holy Spirit may guide the further decisions of the staff at the school.

    We cannot assume this decision was made in anger, or that it was made impulsively. We cannot assume mal or evil intentions. We do not know all of the circumstances, however, we know that Dr. Cichocki would ask for a goodbye party from the students before he retired, so we are quite certain that it was not retirement. Again, we do not know the circumstances and we cannot assume that the people making these decisions are evil or want anything against the students of the school.

    There is an option to sign anonymously. Please do not mention organizations when you sign, rather please express concern for the matter.

    The prayers, I can do. My experience is that petitions from outside don't make much difference. If you have a large donor who will cut donations, now that works.

    We have had a large donor cut donations as well as "emotional support".
    John Tuttle has also signed.

    then I have a bridge which you might be interested in purchasing. Only lightly used, one careful lady owner.

    I've watched what happens when a highly-strung musician, who is hard enough for adult choir members to cope with, is asked to teach children. It's not good for anyone.

    In the midst of all of this, I would like to tell you (or remind for some) that this is all very much speculation. From what students and parents have been told, the reasons are HR and therefore by law are not allowed to be released.

    It is very disappointing to me to think that this has taken place. Please continue to pray.

    I would encourage you to check our Facebook group as well as the email templates for you to send to the authorities demanding that Dr. Cichocki return.
