Blessed Trinity Parish, a diverse and welcoming 110 year-old faith community at home in a Landmark edifice in Buffalo, NY, seeks a motivated musician familiar with the Roman Catholic Liturgy to serve part-time as Director of Music. Position is available January 1, 2017. Key responsibilities: * Plan music appropriate for the liturgical season, including hymns, and Mass and psalm setting, to be sung by congregation and choir at one Sunday service (10am), and additional special services; e.g., Christmas, Holy Week, and Holy Days. * Serve as organist/pianist and cantor * Rehearse and conduct an established, friendly adult volunteer choir at weekly evening rehearsal, Sunday, and special liturgies * Serve as member of concert committee, which plans and implements the church's concert series * Right of first refusal for all weddings and funeral * Monitor the church's recently restored 1927 Tellers-Kent pipe organ for any needed servicing.
