• I am looking for a relatively simple two part or three part Agnus Dei for use at a Mass either an archbishop where the fraction Rite is longer than normal. I would like to take the opportunity to introduce the congregation to chant. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

Maybe I'm missing something but wouldn't using a multi-part Agnus not be introducing them to chant, but to polyphony?

If you're looking for a simpler polyphonic Mass, we've occasionally sang this for Solemn and Pontifical Masses when there was limited rehearsal time

Missa tribus vocibus (Christoph Dalitz, 1988)

Assuming Latin? But accompanied or a cappella isn't specified, either?

  • Thanks that looks good... Yes, preferably Latin, but not opposed to English. Does not make a difference if it's a capella or accompanied.
