I just read that Abp. Piero Marini, disciple of Annibale Bugnini, and recently appointed to the CDWCS, has suffered a severe stroke. I know that probably none of us here approved of the liturgical novelties that reigned at Papal liturgies under his watch as Master of Ceremonies, or at the Eucharistic Congresses that he has been lately in charge of, but in our charity we ought to pray for him, and for any family he might have.
I'm so glad you said this. It feels so easy right now to be discouraged by everything going on in the Church that I've forgotten to pray for the wellbeing and conversion of those I disagree with. Thank you.
A priest once told me that there was a community of Catholic nuns in Germany who prayed regularly and specifically for the soul of a certain fuhrer. (I would shudder expicitly to do so - it is enough to refrain from hate and replace it with pity.)
