I've got a couple who want their wedding music to include chant and early music. The prospective groom wondered about "Ecce sic benedicitur." I didn't recognize this. I'm guessing that it comes from the psalm verse, Ecce sic benedicitur homo, qui timet Dominum.
Chant? Polyphony? I didn't see it in my usual sources.
This is the communion antiphon for a nuptial mass given in Liber Usualis. Curiously, it is not one of the communion antiphons from which to choose at nuptials in Graduale Romanum.
