Another bearded big guy liturgical musician is now commended to our Lord as Chicagoland's Les Stahl passed into eternity yesterday. Les was a larger than life fellow, consummate musician and bon vivant. I'll never forget rousing discussions on music to the kitchen sink on the old RPInet listserve, Les proving intellectual prowess as well as an unflagging humor and gentle kindness. I had the pleasure of taking in concerts with SAVAE and Chanticleer with him at an NPM. Rest in peace, old friend.
