Location: Mater Dei Parish (FSSP) Part-time Associate Choir Director Salary: Negotiable, based on experience & level of involvement
Looking for a qualified, skilled vocalist with a servant’s heart for the Extraordinary Form. The successful candidate should be an active, practicing Catholic in good standing, with a strong familiarity with the primary forms of Catholic music (Gregorian chant and polyphony). Formal instruction in choral conducting preferred, and experience directing chant scholas/detailed instruction in Gregorian chant, both in theory and practical application. At least 1-2 years experience preferred. Possibility for expansion of position with continued growth of parish. If interested, but needing immediate, full-time employment, I would encourage applicants to search out the local Catholic schools for any part-time or full-time positions in music, that they could apply for in tandem. Required Duties: Assistant Director of Sunday high mass choir Director of parish men's schola Assist with organization of choir program materials, schedules, and recruiting Assist with choir fundraising initiatives (concerts, promotion of professional choir CDs, etc)
Negotiable Involvement: Part-time organist Director of Goretti Youth choir (teen choir)
