Though I’ve long used Sibelius for a variety of purposes I still on occasion face a challenge that stops me in my tracks. My latest hurdle involves the insertion of those undersized notes in hymn verses that indicate how syllables varying from the rhythmic scheme are to be sung. An example would be measure 4 of the Christmas hymn "Adeste, Fideles" or throughout a contemporary standard like "Blest Are They". I should know the terminology for these notes, but don’t.
How does one insert those notes and how do they not impact the input of text in other verses? I can’t find the solution in my Sibelius manual so any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to you both. I got it to work, though manually adjusting the text of the verse in question took some doing. If there is an easier way to do that, let me know.
