St. Rita Catholic Community, Dallas, TX, a vibrant active parish in north Dallas of some 4,000 families, has an immediate opening for a full-time organist/assistant director of music. The successful candidate will play an active role in supporting the liturgical life of the parish, and reports to the Director of Music.
Qualifications: Expert organist and pianist with command of the standard organ repertoire from the baroque to the present day, excellent improvisational skills, strong organizational skills, minimum two years of experience in a traditional liturgical setting, thorough understanding of the musical documents of the Catholic Church pertaining to sacred music and their appropriate application, conducting experience. Practicing Catholic a plus.
