    Readers in central Virginia may be interested to know that Masses in the Extraordinary Form will be offered bi-weekly in Charlottesville, starting on Sunday, January 10, 2016.

    The Mass will take place at Holy Comforter Catholic Church at 3 PM.

    That's wonderful news! Although I was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas parish when I was in Charlottesville, I sang at Holy Comforter several times as a member of Zephyrus when they performed at First Night Virginia concerts and when we recorded the first two Zephyrus CDs.

    Excellent! I played string bass for the Ash Lawn Opera many years ago and spent a summer stomping around Charlottesville. Lovely area.

    Scott_W ... maybe my son Nicholas was playing trombone with Ash Lawn Opera company at the same time you were playing back then! Ash Lawn Opera was a favorite of mine.
