St Kilian in Farmingdale was something of an odd duck of the Rockville Centre diocese (formerly part of the Brooklyn diocese): it was entrusted to the Benedictines of St Leo's Abbey (well, until the diocese took it back in 1974 . . . ). A different sensibility than what often obtained in cookie-cutter post-war suburbs. Arpad Darazs had a freer hand there than he likely would have had in other parishes in the area.
Chuck and Spriggo are two of my faves, too. I'm also partial to JulieColl and canadash, and Adam and bkenney and Charles and Francis and....oh, wait......never mind.......
