Antiphonale Romanum II, ornate short responsories

    I would love to hear a recording of a well chanted "ornate short responsory tone" as found in the Antiphonale Romanum II (Solesmes 2009) e.g. for the feast of Immaculate Conception, p. 690.
    I find this tone (unfortunatelly used a lot in the ARII) particularly ugly and would like to know how much the ugliness depends on my inability to render it well.

    I find this tone quite impressive, actually, and it is certainly not unique to the ARII.

    Yes, it's in the '34 Antiphonale Monasticum, and perhaps other places.

    Good sleuthing, Aaron! I love this tone. I used to look forward to singing it when I sang the old office.
