    I mentioned on another thread that our choir was thinking of sing a polyphonic Credo...

    Last week for the 1st Sunday of Advent we sang Missa super Dixit Maria, Hassler. No Gloria obviously but we sang the Credo!

    Plenty of compliments after Mass, and No complaints! We had not told the priest but he was more than happy with our choice! It looks like we will be singing a polyphonic Credo several times a year!

    Congratulations! You have probably seen my comments on the polyphonic Mass in the ordinary form in Sacred Music. I strongly support the singing of the Credo when a polyphonic Mass is sung, something that is unfortunately rare.
