The Archdiocese of Miami Pastoral Center has an opening for a full-time Coordinator for The Office of Worship and Spiritual Life, who will assist the Director in the work of assisting the clergy and the People of God in their celebration of liturgy and the sacraments. The Coordinator assists at, and in preparation for, Pontifical liturgies at the direction of the Director of the Office of Worship and the Archbishop’s Master of Ceremonies/Priest Secretary. The Coordinator also assists the Rector of St. Mary Cathedral in various liturgical duties. The Coordinator of the Office of Worship and Spiritual Life performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications: Minimum: Bachelor Degree and three years’ administrative experience in a customer-service environment. Preferred: Master’s Degree in theology or liturgy-related field. Must have three years’ experience as an altar server / acolyte. Must be active member of parish; current or recent experience volunteering or working in parish. Good oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice. Good Spanish-language spoken and written communication skills. Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities and competing deadlines and time constraints. Must be a Roman Catholic in good standing and demonstrate enthusiastic support for the mission, vision, and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church Must witness by public behavior, actions and words a life consistent with the teachers of the Catholic Church. Must demonstrate appropriate reverence for sacred persons, things and rites. Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church and parish structures. Must have experience in event coordination.
