St. Hilary Church in Fairlawn, Ohio, a parish of over 2,600 families, is seeking a full time director of Music and Liturgy with a start date of September 1, 2015. The successful candidate should have a degree in music and a strong background in liturgy, should be proficient in organ and piano, and should be experienced in directing both vocal and hand bell choirs. Responsibilities include coordinating the Liturgy Commission; supervising all music coordinators; planning liturgies for Sunday worship, school Masses, weddings, funerals, and seasonal evening prayer; conducting the adult choir, hand bell choir, and children’s choir; training cantors; and providing organ and piano accompaniment for weddings and funerals.
