The seminary is considering adding some digital stops to our pipe organ. We are not talking about adding anything major like an entire division, but filling in some places (16foot reed in pedal, solo stops in swell, something like that).
Any estimates on what type of cost we would be looking at?
The console is already digital and adding stops to cover the digital ranks would not be difficult.
I'd definitely seek out at least 3 or 4 quotes, if possible.
Especially Walker Technical, if you have not already done so. Great people, very committed to quality. 6610 Crown Ln, Zionsville, PA 18092 (610) 966-2515
Does one get a lower estimate if the local rep. swears you to secrecy? (Not sure how to find that out.)
We have digital augmentations that are failing one by one; the trumpet and great mixture went long ago, salicional celeste depends on the weather and chimes are the only completely reliable stop.
