The following invitation from Harold Rosenbaum came across my screen today. Might be of interest to some of you in the area. (I'm in Virginia, not likely to make it).

Hello choral singers and conductors,
As part of Bach in the Subways I [Harold Rosenbaum] am organizing a flash mob choral event on the Upper-West Side of Manhattan on March 14th in honor of J.S. Bach. The event will be professionally videotaped, edited, and released worldwide on Bach's birthday, March 21.
The location of the rehearsal is St. Ignatius of Antioch. The entrance is on West End Avenue, just south of 87th St. After rehearsing, we will all walk to the location of the flash mob event (which will be announced during rehearsal).
The flash mob performance will begin at 5 PM and will end about 5:30.
Please make sure to bring your metro card and a pitch-pipe or tuning fork if you have one, and, of course, the music. Remember to dress casually!
If you have any questions, please email my assistant, Nicole, at ncaine@buffalo.edu. More about Bach in the Subways at http://bachinthesubways.com/.
Also, if you know anyone who would be interested, please invite them to the event!
