Listed just now on my weekly e-letter from the Organ Historical Society is the following publication of works by our very own Gregory Hamilton, whose work is most admirable. Dr Hamilton has written several impressive and scholarly works for recitals I have given and is a superb composer, sensitive to the organ, sensitive to text, whose work should find a place in the worship of our churches. He is currently the Musical Director of Holy Trinity Seminary in Dallas-Irving. I played a recital there last autumn on their new Ross King instrument. I commend, also, RK's work.
Here is the new compilation: Ten Chant Preludes for Organ, published by WPL. ($16, $14 to OHS members.)
Contents: Adoro te Ave verum Ave Maria Conditor alme siderum Divinum Mysterium Salve Regina Tantum ergo Veni Emmanuel Veni Creator Spiritus Victimae paschali laudes
Thanks, Jackson, for bringing this up. I have been meaning to order the "Ten Chant Preludes" for some time and just didn't get around to it. Will do this today.
