    Not sure you all got my encrypted music samples above... Beethoven is his 5th... If you follow the rhythms for the others you should be able to tell the titles of the pieces.

    I thought there was a pattern.

    Noel discussion title: one dot
    Noel comment: two dots
    Matthew: one dot
    So, I provided two dots

    Francis: changed the pattern with zero dots
    Charles: a very clever comment suggesting the pattern, and one dot
    Noel: two dots

    Soon the discussion started drifting.
    Can any of the mathemeticians here draw comparisions
    between this thread drift and other discussion thread drift?

    This whole thing reminds me of the Discussion entitled
    "Friday nights in CMAA-land"
    to which members only posted on Friday evenings.
