Creating Practice Videos for choir/schola
  • How does one go about creating a practice video that can be posted online for their choir?

I'm using Finale on a PC (Windows 7) and can export as an audio file, but I don't know how to create one of those spiffy videos that actually shows the music scrolling on the screen like on CC Watershed.

you really don't need to scroll the music, do you? just provide a pdf of the score and the audio file and they can follow along.

  • An audio only file with a PDF (or printed) score is what I am doing now. Just thought I could step it up a notch since we have a big service coming up this spring for which I'm hoping to attract a few extra singers who don't normally rehearse with the choir.

No, I don't really need to scroll the music, but I thought it would be a nice effect. I've seen it done, so I was curious about the process.
