Hi Musica Sacra Forum,
My Priest gave me assignment to make composition.

1) he want me make Harmony for weekly Mass Brevir. He want me make it organum style, so I will put some ison and parallel or some free counterpoint.
I also want to make another variant for Psalm, I want it like Allegri's Miserere style. But i got problem, because I only have that reference, which is Choir sings then respond by Gregorian chant. Is there any other composition with like this style?
Note. This is for OF Mass, so I will make it simple melody, singable for congregation.

2) Hymn, Do you have any references to make Hymn style? For starter I will make Introitus from the following week. I want make Hymn is like Palestrina's Homophonic and Counterpoint style combined, but of course simple enough to make congregation can sing too.. Also need Organ music for short introduction or episode or postmusic in between psalm and gloria patri to back again first lyric. I got idea, make it like Bach's organ music, but I don't know where I've to start. And this composition also for OF Mass.

For your information, I was Music Student which study in local university. I got lack Polyphonic style writing education.. but I got a bit studying Harmony.
