Because of reasons (mainly that I answered my own question and the piece wasn't really by Bruckner).

matthewj, recall how you rued the day you began a previous thread and, despite animadversions from the ever sagacious moderator and less sagacious others that the discussion had "run its course," it instead became an uncontrollable monster that went on, and on, and on, and on...? Unless you delete it right now, this Blank Post could become another thread one like that, taking the Forum members well into the Great 50 Days. Don't say you weren't warned. (bold purple)
  • I like Bruckner!

  • It's eerie that the Blank Post is brought to us by the same person as the Recto Tono Propers--don't you think?

Should that not also be: BLANK POST; considering that it's also RECTO TONO PROPERS? After all it is Meloche that brought us the TASTEFUL USE OF ALL CAPS.

With the austerities of Lent coming, a blank post might be a fitting accompaniment for the season.

Rather than blanking a message that turns out to contain mistaken information, it might be better to merely revise the post and ADD information, so that other users can get the benefit of what the author learned in the process.

  • music is the new blank

Violin Sonata No. 32 in B-flat major (K. 454) was composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Vienna on April 21, 1784. It was published by Christoph Torricella in a group of three sonatas (together with the piano sonatas K. 284 and K. 333).

The sonata was written for a violin virtuoso Regina Strinasacchi of Mantua to be performed by them together at a concert in the Kärntnerthor Theater in Vienna on April 29, 1784. Although Mozart had the piano part securely in his head, he did not give himself enough time to write it out, and thus it was performed with a sheet of blank music paper in front of him in order to fool the audience. According to a story told by his widow Constanze Mozart, the Emperor Joseph II saw the empty sheet music through his opera glasses and sent for the composer with his manuscript during which time Mozart had to confess the truth, although that is likely to have amused the monarch rather than cause his irritation. Chonak,

What is ADD information? Is it interspersed with other information?

Although matthewj found out the piece he was thinking of wasn't by Anton Bruckner, this piece is, in an excellent performance:

For the record, Salieri, I don't think the Washington oratory-in-formation has reached the stage of full development yet, so it is premature to use the identifier "C.O.", etc. for the members. If that's not correct on my part, someone can please let me know.
