Just a thought. Fr Robert Skerris is teaching on the Ward method in Washington 22-26 June, and the Colloquium CMAA is 29th to 4th July. Flights can add to the expense, but once you get to the us it is relatively cheap.
Anyone from Ireland interested in doing both these things as a kickstart to an Irish Church music association type thingy?
oops - should point out there is already an irish church music association. here all nicely set up with a cardinal patron etc. I missed their summer school in Maynooth last year, depriving me of the opportunity to learn the new music for the year that they were suggesting for parish choirs - offerings by Haugen, haas, and liam Lawton. They will probably have another summer school this year.
Pittsburgh, anyone? After all, the airport is closer than Maynooth, if you are travelling from Dublin :-)
