O Antihpons for Youth Choir
  • Does anyone have a simple, but dignified, English setting of the O Antiphons that I can teach my youth choir? A setting that is not the Veni, Veni Emmanuel, please.

I don't have one, but if I wanted one and couldn't find one through RC contacts, I might look to an Anglican Church. Do you have any Anglican musician friends, or perhaps an Anglican Church close by? I'd love to know what you find!

There is this setting in English from St. Meinrad Archabbey (I believe it is Fr. Columba's setting) that is based on the Gregorian versions. Since they are all very similar, I don't think they are too difficult once you've learned one, but I don't know how simple you are looking for. Let us know what else you find!
