    What is the organ?
I played the zimmer in the church many times. Has is been changed?
    Congratulations on your dedication.
  • Which generation of Zimmer was that organ?

The old man ("W")...or "fils" Cornel?

    Casavant, op. 1506 from 1935.

The Zimmer is in the main church. It was rebuilt in 2005 by Cornel Zimmer, with 4 manual amphitheater console, new reeds by Schopp, and general revoicing.

Here's a link to more information about the Casavant :

Sounds like it will be wonderful. Wish I could be there!
  • A now-retired, octogenarian colleague of mine, who has worked for some of the greatest organbuilding firms in the U.S., quite unabashedly says he's of the opinion Cornel Zimmer is the greatest organbuilder in the U.S. today.

From this particular gentleman, that is high praise indeed.

I agree that it sounds like the instrument is magnificent.

  • The Stone Chapel is gorgeous! Unfortunately I will be out of town that weekend.
