Catholic Boarding Schools
  • Are there any suggestions for a traditional Catholic boarding school in the United States, for a high school-aged young man with a strong music background? My friend would greatly appreciate any information.

Their music director is a regular on the board. I will try to summon him to this thread.

  • Hello all -

We have a good program at Gregory the Great. Training includes sacred and folk music with opportunity to sing for the Traditional Latin Mass, Anglican Ordinariate, and the Byzantine Tradition (Ruthenian and Melkite). Our boys also can take individual lessons and work towards preparing for college if they would like. Let me know if you would like more information.

    Can you clarify?
Do you have an Ordinariate church near you?
    If so, which one?
Or are you just including familiarity with its music-liturgy in your classes?
    (Or both?)
  • Teachermom24, this sounds fantastic! Thanks for the resource.

Matthewj, thanks for looping the music director into this conversation.

Ossian1898, I will send you a private message. I was hoping that the parent could contact you personally for more info?
